I hope you don't mind Hin... but I got to add my 2cents... BUY THIS COSINA

Somebody who loves shallow DOF needs to pick up this Cosina, Some of my fave pics have been taken with my copy of it...
It can be very 'painterly' in the oof area and gives a 'look' I love. Or it can be downright sharp at times.

Thank you for your inputs. I really like your portrait pictures. Don't be afraid to add a 58mm or 62mm +2 or +4 close up lens. This lens is so sharp that with a decent close up filter, it can produce great pictures with outstanding color and bokeh

with Cosina 55mm f/1.2

with Cosina 55mm f/1.2

Hope my mint copies of Cosina and K-7 meets a great owner.

Cheers,
Hin

Thank you so much for your support. Your pictures likely help me seal the deal. Those portraits of yours really stick after I move away from the computer.

The Cosina is SOLD to another member.

A mint copy of Pentax K-7 is available. And a reasonably good copy of Tamron 24mm f/2.5 (01BB) and a cut-throat price of a bargain copy with Tamron SP 24-48mm f/3.5-3.5 (13A) are up for grab.

Thanks,
Hin

Pam,

I only managed to drop off the package around 2:30pm in my local post office. Get busy in the morning. The last pick up time is 5:00pm in my postal office and it should be on the way to you.

shot likely wide open or f/2.0 on BW400cn film with Ricoh xr-p

You can see not all eyes are in focus and yet the fast lens allow me to do some low light shots indoor and the picture come out fine. I was bracing myself on a table and I can't be happier with the result as the room is pitch black. Short version of my experience is to use wide aperture selectively and don't use it all the time until you get acquainted with the fast prime. You may get disappointed due to crazy thin depth of field and some of the artifacts that may come in wide open shot such as lesser contrast. The lens when stopped down is one of my sharpest lens and when I selectively use at wide aperture, the lens perform above and beyond what I ask it for. The bokeh and sharpness in close up with a close up filter in +4 is better than some of my macro lens.

update: I have added another lens with Tamron SP 35-80mm f/2.8-3.8 adaptall-2 (01A) for Jean to consider a two lens purchase.

Cheers,
Hin

Thank you so much Pam. Love it when my gear meets the perfect owner.

My Pentax K-7 is really in mint condition. Hope it meets the next best owner too. Pictures of K-7 for sale in this album

Cheers,
Hin
