[SOLD] FS or FT: Pentax F70-210/4-5.6

SOLD!

Some of you may think I'm absolutely nuts for wanting to give this lens up, as it produces some very sharp pics, but I need something lighter-weight in this range. The IQ is great, but it does have some cosmetic flaws that don't make it the prettiest lens you've ever seen. The glass is in good shape; I've kept a filter on it since I've had it. It comes with front and end caps, plus a practially new hard case for storage (not pictured). I've included one picture attachment here; you can click on the following link to see more pics:

Here are some links to some pics I've taken with this lens:

Here is the link to pbase.com with some image samples that other people have taken with this lens:
Pentax smc P-F 70-210mm f/4-5.6 Lens Sample Photos and Specifications

Click on this link for the specs: F 70-210/4-5.6 ED

NOTE: I've already found another lens locally, so I don't need another one in the range, but I'm open to trading for 1 or more A-type primes--any length with the exception of 50mm.

If you want to buy, I'll take $125, including shipping to U.S. addresses. If you're in Canada or Australia, please PM me for a shipping quote; I'll cover the first $10 of your shipping cost, with you making up the remainder.

If you use Revolution Money Exchange or a MO to pay me, I'll knock $5.00 off of your grand total. I'll take Paypal, but if you can pay me another way, I'd rather you do that, as I've had a lot of problems with Paypal lately.

Thanks!
Heather

Let's bump this baby up...
BTW, If you choose to buy the lens, I'll accept Revolution Money Exchange, Paypal, or MOs.

If you use Revolution Money Exchange or send me a MO, I'll knock $5.00 off the cost of shipping. If you live in the U.S., shipping will only be a flat $5.00; outside the U.S., I'll knock $5.00 off the actual shipping cost.

I got lucky and found another lens locally that will work in place of the 50-200, so no need for a trade now.

As for the F70-210, I'm open to reasonable offers.

Thanks!
Heather

I'm surprised someone hasn't grabbed this lens. My copy was much sharper than the DA50-200 and almost the quality of the Sigma 70-200 f2.8. Great sharpness and overall IQ. A very good price on this one.

definitely good price. but i'm guessing most people already have the DA50-200 and aren't willing to sacrifice the size/weight.

Please don't make me have to put this on Fleabay!

Remember, I'm open to reasonable offers.

Once again, I'm open to TRADES. If anybody has any "A"-type primes that they wouldn't mind trading for the F70-210, I'm open to all lengths, with the exception of 50mm.

Thanks!

Heather, I was reading another thread and you're selling this to get a Sigma 100-300 UC zoom? If so don't. That Sigma is about as good as the bottom of a Coke bottle, optically. If you need more reach, get the Sigma or Tamron 70-300mm macro zooms that are currently available. Much better than the UC zoom.

Price adjustment!

I'm now including the shipping to US addresses in the price of $125. Shipped anywhere else, I'll cover the first $10 of shipping with you making up the remainder of the shipping cost.

If you use Revolution Money Exchange or MO to pay, then I'll still knock off $5.00 from your grand total. I'd rather not have to deal with Paypal, if possible because of all the problems I've been having with them lately.

Thanks!
Heather

PM sent.

Is this quicker focusing then say the 50-200 or the Sigma APO 70-300?

Also, I take it it's auto focus? Will be going on a GX10 (K10D)

As for how fast the focusing is on those specific lenses, I don't know, but with all the AF lenses I've used, I wouldn't say that it's any faster or slower than those. It is an autofocus.

PM replied to.

If Heather doesn't mind me jumping in, I have tried all 3 and they all perform about the same. The lens here might be a touch faster but not much. I think that might be because it has a better contrast characteristic than the other 2. It's much sharper than the other 2 though and you ight want to check the following:
