Up for sale is my Pentax 18 - 250mm "super zoom". This lens is in excellent condition and was serviced by C.R.I.S. in November of 2012. Part of the reason for the service was to repair the infamous zoom creep, and that was mostly successful: if you point the lens straight down (unlocked), it will extend. However, if you have it angled only partly down and extend the zoom partway, it will stay in place. This seems to be a very sharp copy (see attached photo shot with the lens). The invoice from the repair will be included. Original box, rear cap and hood included, but I don't have the front cap so I'll include a UV filter instead. In addition, I found a 62mm circular polarizer (TIffen) that I'll throw in to sweeten the pot. I'm selling this because I just don't use it much. Price is firm at $300, and that includes PayPal fees and Priority Mail (insured) shipping in the US.

The repair cost $115. The invoice reads "Repaired zoom mechanism, Adjusted to manufacturer's specifications, General check and clean".

Also, for anyone interested in more about the bird photo -- 1/250@f8, lens was set at 155mm. I was about eight feet away and it was shot through a window. The photo is cropped somewhat.
