Lens did a taste of salt water together with my K-5 camera two months ago... It is not completely dead, but a lot of water make some dirty stuff on glasses and aperture blades stuck... See the pictures and video (coming soon) Focus ring is still operates very well and smooth, and chips works probably good too, cause it can easy communicate with other cameras... Aperture ring works as well good, but aperture blades are not moving  Unfortunately local service (Slovak importer) does not know how to fix it and price they said for repair is even higher than the new one??? Maybe someone can fix it or use some part of it or is living close to some professional service... Please, ask if any questions... Are you the original owner of the item being sold? Hello Uttam, thanx for interesting article  Here is how all this has been happened... I´ve been in Rijeka, Croatia, take a walk to Mole, and try how cold/warm is water. Step on slippery stair and fall completely down to the water with camera. Fortunately there was my friend right next to me, and help mi out from the water. But damage You can see on photos... FA limited is made from aluminium alloys and this alloy is resistible to salt water, but aperture blades take corosion almost immediately Electronic still looks fine, but i do not know how to dismantle lens to clean it and finally get back with no front or back focus or any other damage... Maybe there is somewhere phototutorial how to dismantle any FA limitde lens?
