Item Description
For sale…one of my Pentax K-5 camera bodies with original box, accessories, and an official Pentax battery. Camera has 99,165 shutter actuations and has been well cared for as I have been the sole owner. A few minor scuffs due to general use which I tried to capture in the images. Never had any issues with it and camera is fully functional and works like a charm! Make me an offer!

99k shutter fires and it still looks nearly new. Very impressive build quality, I'd say.

There was another seller with around 180k actuation IIIRC.

This means that the camera on sale here might have gone through only half its life

My other Pentax K-5 body has around 95,000 or so on it as well...I normally sell off my camera bodies around 50,000 or so but since I didn't like what the K-5II offered I held onto these longer. Now with a K-3 the K-5 has to go. Make me an offer!!

I think the most I ever got was around 6,000 shots on a camera and that was with Pentax K-x I use to own, had more camera fun back then.
My K-5 has under 2,000 count so far and I got it a year ago

I think if I had to total my count from all the cameras I owned from the time I had Pentax K110D I think I would have around 12,000+ shutter count.

What are you shooting on a dally basis?

I shoot a range of things...events, student tours/activities for my day job, street, landscape, etc. Most of the shots though are from fashion shoots with models. Probably have done about 35 photo shoots or so since getting the K-3. Not uncommon for me to shoot 800-1000 photos during a fashion shoot.

For me, those clicks accumulate when you do the sequential shooting technique for slow apertures - usually one of the series is sharper than the other pictures. I am not surprised with a 100k at all.That being said, it's good to know K-5 can take this much. Did anyone ever have a shutter replaced in K5s? How much does Pentax charge for it?
