This is an excellent copy of an excellent dedicated AF macro lens that does 1:1 magnification. It can also be used for general walkaround photography and portrait photography.

The 172E model is the precursor to the latest Di model. They are basically the same aside from the exterior. I have owned a Di version in the past and it performs exactly the same as this one. Scroll down to the bottom of this page to see them side by side: Variations of Tamron 90mm Macro lenses

Glass is clean, clear, and free of haze, scratches, or fungus. There are minimal dusts inside that will not affect picture quality. There are no significant dings or scratches on the body or exterior of the lens. There are some barely visible minor scuffs on the lens hood. The sticker on the faceplate is starting to peel very slightly at the sides. This is purely cosmetic, and does not affect the performance of the lens in any way, shape or form, and it does not seem to be peeling any further (you can see it in the pictures). Focusing is fast and accurate, aperture blades are smooth and snappy, aperture ring works well, focus limiter works well.

All prices are in US dollars and include shipping and PayPal fees and insurance + tracking within North America. I will not list this as a gift or skimp on the declared value for insurance purposes, so please keep that in mind if you are wary of potential duties incurred from this purchase.

PayPal will be the method of money exchange. I will also accept email money transfers from Canadian buyers with established feedback on these forums. I am located in the Vancouver area of BC, Canada, so if you're in the area I would not mind meeting up locally and doing a cash exchange.

It's only because the line of sight from the camera passed through the edge of the lens, and it became all warped.
