Legendary Pentax BOC! Can you believe it?

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Legendary Pentax BOC! Can you believe it?

Asking Price
100.00 USD

Item Location
Houston, TX (United States)

Item Description
It's here at last! The lengendary Pentax BOC*!

*Box of Champions, or Bag of Compendia, or bag of c... (in no way related to the w00t BOC, nope, never heard of w00t BOC before)

Offered for your consideration is the Pentax box of crap. It contains flashes, flash adapters, external powered flash grips, extension tubes, remote flash cord, GPS unit, screen color calibrator, NIB 28-70mm zoom lens, Pentax O-ME53 magnifying eyepiece, a Pentax right angle eye piece (which didn't fit my Pentax dSLR so use it on your film Pentax), and (if I can find it) a Pentax wireless remote.

Everything is sold together, as-is, though everything worked the last time I used them. I'm leaving the Pentax world for now, so I'm cleaning out my remaining Pentax gear in one amazing Box of Collections.

The flash units can be very handy. The 9550 and 7500 tilt/swivel and zoom, plus they have a supplemental small forward flash. The 6550 will tilt and zoom only. See the attached photo for guide numbers for each flash. The flashes have electronic adapters for Pentax that give P-TTL, though they may not give P-TTL on newer cameras. I got P-TTL on my K20D and (I think) my K5. At least one of the flash units did not give P-TTL on my friend's Kx, so YMMV. Regardless, they work great as manual/slave flash units even if they don't give P-TTL on your camera.

Quantaray QTB-9550U (one for sale)

Quantaray QTB-7500A (one for sale)

Quantaray QB-6550U

Quantaray Power Flash Handle (2) - The power flash handles contain their own batteries so you can have the flash off camera and have extra power to boot.

Promaster 5050DXR Pentax flash adapter (2)
Quantaray AF and MF Pentax flash adapters (1 each)

Pentax O-ME53 magnifying eyepiece - great for aging eyes like mine. I used this on my K20 and K5.

Asahi-Pentax right angle view finder - this never did fit my dSLRs so I guess it works on older film cameras, or it could probably be modified by someone with a Dremel to fit a current dSLR.

generic flash adapter cord for Pentax flash - Get that flash off camera.

set of generic extention tubes for K-mount - use your regular lenses as macro lenses

New-in-box Quantaray 28-70mm f/3.5-f/4.5 manual focus zoom lens

Amod AGL3080 GPS photo tracker - Use this to track your shooting and then synch the data file with your pictures for geotagging.

Pantone Huey monitor color calibrator - one of the original color calibration units from Pantone. It's amazing the difference a calibrated monitor makes.

*BONUS* Pentax lens and accessories catalog from mid 1970's

Finally, if I can find it, I'll include a genuine Pentax wireless remote. But don't count on me finding it.

So, there you go. You send me $100 via PayPal, plus $25 shipping (CONUS) or $35 (outside CONUS) and I'll send you this amazing Pentax Box of Champions! What could be easier?

My wife always used that for 'Box of Chaos' - similar enough, but sends a less positive message overall
