GH-1 Gimbal Head Asking Price 60.00 USD Item Location Las Vegas (United States) Item Description Here is a seasoned Gimbal tripod head for your consideration. I have had this for 2 years or so and it was sold under the brand name Beike, there are others of the same make sold as Opteka and maybe even some others. This gives you the Gimbal movements without the Wimberly or Jobu prices. Obviously there is a trade off with quality but that should go without saying. This head is capable of supporting some heavy gear and it is quite sturdy, I was surprised by that. There is a little sag when the swing arm knob is released for movement which you may or may not notice while using the head. The clamp works fine but I have thought about buying one of the replacements that are sold for the more expensive heads to replace this one with. The knob for the panning action was bent when my Father-in-Law opened the back of my SUV without reading the "contents may have settled during transit" sticker on the back door of the vehicle and out slid my tripod bag. I would imagine if you are really ambitious this could be fixed with a bench vise and some channel locks but since the panning still tightens just fine I never took the time to fix it.
