Item for Sale
Pentax DA* 60-250mm for sale or trade

Asking Price
1,050.00 USD

Item Location
St Louis, MO (United States)

Item Description
Up for sale or trade is my DA* 60-250mm f4. This is one of Pentax's highest rated lenses.
I bought it from KEH not too long ago and their grade was Excellent plus.
I honestly cannot find a fault with the lens. Glass is perfect and there isn't even ay wear marks on the body.
Comes with caps and hood.
Asking for $1050 + $15 shipping.
I am selling because I just had a baby, and am spending all my time indoors and would like a portrait lens.

Therefore, I am willing to trade this lens for a FA 77mm Limited + money to cover the difference.

Here are some pics:

77 might be a bit long for indoor portraits. I have a 4 year old and one that will be two in July. You might want to consider the 31 or DA* 55. I tend to use the 77 more outdoors with the kids. I just picked up the Tamron 17-50/2.8 as my only other zoom was the 18-55 kit. I used the Tamron for her birthday party over the weekend and it worked well indoors. A little short on the long end at 50, but I could have switched to the 77. I am really enjoying the 31.

Congrats on the baby, by the way.

Thank you
It's our first one and I didn't appreciate how challenging it was going to be until he came lol...but it's definitely worth it

Regarding your lens suggestion, I split the difference right down the middle and already have the 43mm Ltd it does the job for me. I didn't realize how much I would love the FA limited rendering and so have lusted for the 77mm since.

The 77 is awesome on digital and film. The 43 is the one I'm missing. I may have to find someone local who will let me try it or rent one. I feel pretty good about my prime lineup with the 15, 31, a myriad of manual and auto 50s, primarily the F50/1.7 for an AF lens, 77, and Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5 macro. I'll probably end up with the 43 at some point, just not sure if it fits in my lineup.

I'd love the lens you're selling, but my kids aren't into sports yet and I'm usually not in need of that kind of range right now.
