Item Description
This K-5 "classic" (original model) has been my main camera for about three years, and it's a solid performer in outstanding cosmetic condition and perfect operating condition.

It has only some very light scratches on the rear LCD (nothing that obscures the view in any way) and some minor scuffs from usage. I'm calling this condition "GOOD" per the forum guidelines, just to be conservative. Condition is excellent, the usage marks are really minimal. I'm a hobbyist, not a pro by any means, so the camera's condition reflects gentle usage. About 12,000 shutter actuations to date. This body has NEVER had any issues with sensor stains/spots or mirror flop.

Includes:

• Camera body
• Original Pentax D-LI90 battery (still works fine, good capacity)
• Original Pentax battery charger and cord
• Body cap (as pictured)
• Original strap (unused)
• Original box and miscellaneous original accessories (cables, hotshoe cover, etc.)

I have a split-prism viewfinder screen for it, which is included but not installed. I used it for a while with my manual lenses, but I found that it affects metering accuracy so I removed it. (I consider this a throw-in item, essentially free, so the camera price won't go down if you don't want it.)

I am selling the K-5 because I plan to upgrade to a K-3 -- I also own a K-01 that I will keep and I can't justify three bodies!

A bump and another (probably the last) price reduction to $430. Shipping is still included, so this is effectively $400-410.

I also upgraded the condition of the camera from GOOD to EXCELLENT after reviewing the condition key and looking closely at the camera. It really is in top-notch physical condition for a used camera.

All the K5 variations come with the pop up flash. There are a couple of things to consider though. The pop up flash is minimal on any DSLR and won't work well in some instances such as large diameter short lenses, in which the lens can block out the light. That's one reason why most people invest in another flash that mounts in the hot shoe on top of the camera. Another consideration is the pop up flash will also drain the camera's batteries a lot faster than using the camera without it. Note, as I said, this applies to all digital cameras, not just the K5.

Thanks, I know all about the benefits of a mounted flash. Since I do not have one yet, though, I wanted to make sure that at least I would have pop-up on a K-5 for the time being.
