Item Description
Clearing off the gear shelf and raising money for a new lens. I will have several listings of items that I have bought and used but no longer need on my shelf. I think prices are fair based on my purchase price and recent sales.
Vivitar 500mm f/6.3 preset telephoto
Lens is in excellent condition some minor scuff marks and internal dust. Includes original screw on metal front cap, generic rear cap, and original screw on metal hood and tripod mount and original leather case. This is a preset lens, which means you set your desired aperture on aperture ring one, focus and then close down aperture ring two to meter and take the shot. The lens is a T-mount with an attached K-mount adapter. This is a completely manual lens, no camera communication. If you want to get to 500mm without paying several $1,000 here is your chance. I used this lens for several years and got good images with it. Yes, it takes longer to work than a modern auto focus, it also costs a lot less.
