Item Description
I'm selling my Katzeye screen - it was used for only a month and is FAR better than the stock focusing screen. It's the split prism type and also has AF area markings. Purchased at the very end of January. Comes with everything it originally came with including box, documents/instructions, changing tool, etc. It is completely mint and you'll get a deal. I'm selling only because I've switched to a completely matte screen and just find it easier to use for the type of shooting I do, though I liked this split-prism type far better than the stock Pentax screen. The below was just copy/pasted from my email receipt. I paid $200 plus shipping just a couple months ago.

KatzEye™ Focusing Screen for the Pentax® K-3, K-5, K-5II, K-7, K-30, K-50 & K-500 1 $200.00 $200.00
Prism Type: KatzEye Plus Split Prism w/Microprism Collar
OptiBrite Treatment: Yes
Pentax AF Area Brackets: Yes
Composition Markings: None

Send PM if interested. It weighs very little obviously, so I'm willing to ship world-wide via regular post.

Also - for any who are concerned about swapping screens, it's far easier than you may think. Andrew Blundon has this video on YouTube, a portion of which shows very clearly how to swap screens, demonstrating on a Pentax K-r. (Note the screen he is using is an S-screen, not the split-prism type I am selling, but the procedure is identical).

I have a K5. Will it require shims to focus correctly? This is the split prism screen you want for manually focusing lenses correct?

Yup that's the one. It did not require a shim in my K-3... But I'm not certain about the K-5. Often there'll be a factory installed shim in some cases. it's not difficult if you do need one however.
