[SOLD] 12 MF Lenses, 3 film cameras, 3 winders, 2 AF lenses...

and a partridge in a pear tree :-)

I recently purchased a couple lens/camera collections in order to add a couple specific lenses to my arsenal. Time to give others a crack at the best of the rest.

US Shipping is $5 for 1st item, $2 for each additional item. This is my approximate cost using USPS Priority. Insurance is extra at buyer's option.

All lenses are mechanically and optically excellent. Glass is clear, aperture blades operate smoothly, zoom/focus/aperture rings all operate nicely.

Unless otherwise noted, all lenses come with front and rear caps and are in excellent "E" cosmetic condition.

Manual focus:

PENDING SALE Vivitar Series 1 28-90/2.8-3.5: This is a beautiful one-touch lens, made by Komine. Excellent optical and build quality. Beautiful colors and creamy bokeh. Includes Hoya 67mm Skylight(1B) filter. Excellent condition. Note that this is the P/K-A R-P/K mount (meaning the extra Ricoh pin), but I was able to mount/dismount on my K10D with no problems. "A" type (auto exposure) - $140

SMC Pentax-M 75-150/4 - One touch design, excellent condition. Built in sliding lens hood is a nice touch. Excellent condition inside and out. Includes Hoya HMC 49mm Skylight (1B) filter.
Users reviews/pricing: Pentax Lens Review Database - 75-150mm F4
Adorama's got a used one available for $139 ("E" condition). I'm very comfortable calling this one "E+" - $85

SOLD SMC Pentax-A 35-70/4 - Very sharp zoom lens. Focus is buttery smooth. Includes B+W 58ES KR1.5 1.1x filter which sells for $25. Also includes S+W 58mm screw on lens hood.
User reviews/pricing: Pentax Lens Review Database - 35-70mm F4 - $60

SOLD Tokina AT-X 35-70/2.8 - "A" type (auto exposure) - Nice, fast zoom, super smooth focusing. Includes Ricoh pin, but I had no problems mounting/dismounting this lens on my K10D - $60

SMC Pentax-M 50/1.7 - "E" condition, Pentax front/rear caps. Includes official Asahi Pentax 49mm Skylight filter. - $55

SMC Pentax-M 50/1.7 - "V" condition, glass is fine, body shows wear (brassing, some paint loss in f/stop numbering. This has been my lens for over a year and I've loved it, but decided to upgrade to an A50/1.7. Since this one's the only lens in this whole set that's not at least "E" condition, I'll throw in a leather case from a Pentax 30/2.8. This lens fits snugly in that case. - $50

Tokina AT-X 50-250/4-5.6 Macro - "M" type lens, "E" condition. One touch design. Includes rear and Tokina front caps. Macro 1:1.4 at 250mm. Includes bonus screw on, collapsable rubber lens hood (not pictured) - $50

SOLD Tokina 28/2.8 - "A" type (auto exposure) - P/R mount (includes Ricoh pin), but went on and off my K10D with no problems. Recent ebay sales $48-72 plus shipping - $40

Tokina AT-X 28-85/3.5-4.5 Close Focus - "M" type - Solidly built, operates smoothly - $40

Tokina 28-105/3.5/4.8 - "A" type (auto exposure). P/R mount (includes Ricoh pin), went on/off my K10D with no problems - $35

SMC Pentax-M 50/2 - Excellent condition inside and out. Includes Pentax front and rear mounts. Includes Hoya Skylight filter - $35

SMC Pentax-M 50/2 - Excellent condition inside and out. Includes Asahi Pentax front and rear mounts. Includes CPC Phase 2 UV filter - $35

Auto Focus:

Promaster AF 28-105/4-5.6 - "E" condition, shown in photos with front and rear caps, but only includes rear cap (I was tired and confused by the time I got around to photographing that lens). I think this is a rebadged Tamron, but am not totally sure. Sells new for $140-170. Includes original box and Promaster lens hood. - $75

SOLD SMC Pentax FA 28-80/3.5-5.6 - Excellent condition, includes original box, lens hood and Pentax front/rear caps. - $50

I've had multiple requests for pictures of various lenses and the camera bodies.

The lens pictures are available at:
lenses Photo Gallery by Kevin Webb at pbase.com

I'll try to get pics of the cameras taken/posted tonight.

PM sent for a couple.

How is the "close focus" ability on the 28-85? (Rather "how is the macro?".)

Sorry for the delays in responding. Work and kids, kids and work.

I've added pictures of the cameras. 100% pics available here:
lenses Photo Gallery by Kevin Webb at pbase.com

Here's smaller views of them (MX on left in all shots):

Also, I was asked to provide another photo of the Vivitar Series 1 glass. Here it is:

Full size pic of above available here:

I'll try to reply to most/all pm's before calling it a night.

At 85mm, the minimum standard focus distance is 30 inches (76 cm). Moving the lens to "Close Focus" mode, which involves pushing a button and then further rotating the zoom ring beyond it's normal stopping point, reduced the minimum focus distance to 13 inches (30 cm). What's this mean in macro terms? Beats me. Perhaps somebody else can chime in here. The best I can do is show a pic where I've combined an image of a US coin from a 1:2 macro (Tamron 90/2.5), the same coin using the Tokina's "Close Focus" feature and again without usiing "Close Focus". The coin, by the way, is .955 inches (24.26mm) in diameter.

Full sized image here: http://www.pbase.com/dumrox/image/96203643/original.jpg

Hope this helps,

Kevin
