questions:

1) this will mount on my K50 with no issues?

2) manual focus only right?

I'm a beginner to DSLRs in general, anything in specific I should know about this lens?

Yes it is a PK mount lens and will mount on your K50. Correct, it is manual focus so you do all the focusing and exposure metering (green button stop down). This lens has a zoom ring instead of push/pull, so it's pretty easy to use and frame accurately and is quite sharp wide open (set to largest aperture).

The manual focus shouldnt be a problem. However, what is "exposure metering"?
