I purchased this 3 months ago from Amazon Warehouse Deals after selling my Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 which I had stopped using. I was thinking this would be great supplement to my 18-135mm (WR, and reasonably light), and a good alternative to my prime lenses. I have used it on exactly one outing - have 98 frames from this lens in total. Recently I have gotten the Q bug and have been spending more than I should, so this is going. I am instead keeping an F 70-210mm which has about the same IQ, though no WR and shorter range. Not sure I will use that lens either, but at least I have an option.
This HD 55-300 is in excellent condition with essentially no sign of use. Glass and body is perfect, and I see no dust. Everything works perfectly. Comes with original caps and pouch, shade, box, paperwork etc. Only issue is the box which is beaten up.
I have tested the lens thoroughly (I always do this after haven gotten burned twice). I have had three versions of the 55-300. This is much better than the DA L I had, and slightly better than the DA I used to have.
