Nope, but I can arrange for that during the weekend. I have a tripod now and splitscreen, so I should be able to give you some samples.

Thanks, I'm thinking of buying the Raynox DCR250 and your lens cost the same price (though I have to add shipping), so yours looks interesting!

I am not sure what kinda of info you are actually looking for. All the data that I have is posted and shown in the pictures.

The only thing I recall is that from the serial number you could figure out who exactly made the lens.. and IIRC this particular lens was made by Tokina. I could be wrong, read this a while ago when researching for a affordable tele zoom.

I' meanly interested in Macro, so the specification I'm looking for are what is teh minimum distance @ 210 for macro?
Is the aperture setting is auto or only manual?

I don't know that much.

Understood!

Regarding the aperture, if you have the "A" setting at the aperture ring, it means it can be used in Auto mode (Av, M, P, etc). If you look at the last two pictures, you'll see this lens has the "A" setting in the ring.

Now regarding the macro, I dont know how to find out the asnwers. Maybe you can search using the serial number? I do know there were different versions of the same lens and that you use the serial number to figure out which is which.

Looking at this site Vivitar 70-210 Series 1 Macro Zooms - Mark Roberts Photography, it looks like you have the Cosina version or the version 3 of the lens.

Though my biggest question will be about my 55-200mm and the use to have this macro lens. This is why I will wait that you put some macro pictures (if possible @ 210mm), and on Monday I will decide.

The nice thing about a lens is I can add a macro ring flash, which I couldn't with the Raynox.

i am not sure how marco works, but the image seems much larger than the real object... so i think this lens magnifies 4x (i also noticed it has a 1:4x mark noted on the focus ring. see below:

Also, I wasnt sure how to make the macro, so what I did was to extend the zoom to 210mm, set the focus ring to 1:4x and move the tripod to as close as I could. The subject looks much smaller in real life.

Thanks for all the info, but I think I will stay go with the RAYNOX.
Your lens doesn't have the magnification I'm looking for.

Good luck in selling that lens.
