I got one off Fleabay from a Korean seller 'bout a year back. Loving it and has, for the moment, displaced my Tamron 17-50 F2.8 as my walkabout lens. As compact as a kit zoom. Sharpness is excellent and prefer the colours. Tamron does better star bursts on night scenes though.
I encourage you to keep looking.
Some samples here from my first use of this lens:
SA Aviation Museum. All shots on this post are the FA20-35 mounted on a Kx except the last few which are with a F50/1.7 which incidentally is an amazingly sharp lens. All the FA 20-35 shots are indoors but kind of managed the not so fast max aperture with a mix of higher ISO (400 or 800), and care to avoid the shakes with slower shutter speeds.
And mix of indoor and outdoor shots also on the K-x here:
National Railway Museum
There is no lens profile for Adobe ACR/Lightroom unfortunately. It needs a bit of distortion correction at 20mm (from memory roughly +6 in Lightroom Develop module) and progressively less at longer focal lengths. One day I might get keen and make a lens profile.
I didn't get the standard hood with my copy, but happened to have a hood from a dead Canon mega zoom camera with the same 58mm filter thread as the 20-35 and works perfectly without any vignetting on APS-C cameras. The standard hood is designed for film so provides less than optimal shading for APS-C anyway.
