Tamron 10-24 (Pentax - K Mount) with HOYA polarizing filter - Free shipping

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Tamron 10-24 (Pentax - K Mount)

Asking Price
310.00 USD

Item Location
US (United States)

Item Description
Hi all,

For sale my Tamron 10-24. Purchased new less than 2 years ago. I thought I was not a big fun of wide-angle lenses but I was wrong. It is fun to use and it has given me very nice results. I am selling it because I recently acquired another Sigma wide angle. It comes with the original caps. It does not show noticeable wear.

Edit - I am including an HOYA polarizing filter for free ($40 value)

I am attaching a couple of pictures taken with it as well.

That's right. I tried the Sigma during the weekend and both lenses have pros and cons (at least for me).
The Tamron has more zoom but I rarely use anything but 10-15 when I use these kinds of lenses. Both lenses are sharp. I would say the Tamron is better in this respect and the pictures above I think prove it. It is also faster. There are two things that made me stay with the Sigma: 1) It is new to me and I have to justify its purchase and 2) I like its bokeh better.
Other than that I think the two lenses are very similar so I would not mind keeping the Tamron.

So, is it safe to assume this is a "good" copy? As I know Tamron QC can be hit&miss at times.

I have been using this lens for almost 2 years and I would not say it is a bad copy. It is sharp and works as it should. No front focus/back focus problems so I am not sure what you are referring to. If you are more specific I can check.
