[SOLD] Pentax A*300mm F4

I am selling this lens to buy an AF lens since I trulley have a hard time seeing if I have focused correctly. I hit and miss a lot. When focused and exposed correctly this lens is capable of producing beautiful images. I bought this lens off a fellow member recently selling it for less than I payed $570.00 shipped within CONUS. This built in lens hood has minor scratches that you can see in picture. The rest of the body is clean and this lens has been well cared for. The aperture and A setting works fine on my K20D. Glass is clean and no scratches. Original lens caps and UV filter included.
Pay Pal preferred. PM if interested. SOLD

I would have snapped this up in a heartbeat if I hadn't given up and ordered the DA* 300/4 Friday night. Exactly what I was looking for at the price I was willing to pay.
Eastern Shore Charlie, it sounds to me that you need a KatzEye screen, I prefer manual focusing in many circumstances and like you, my hit rate was dismal till I got the KatzEye. Since then it has improved dramatically.

Lol, and to rub salt in the wound, it hasn't sold yet!
I swear, if I was still in the market this would have sold before I first saw it.
Eastern Shore Charlie, I'd replace your photo with a good sharp one, maybe that's giving people some hesitation.
I've seen buy it now prices of $850 or $900 (don't exactly remember)..... on a M* 300/4!
Nothing at all against the M* but with the A* you get AV etc.

Charlie - I've got the M* 300/4 with the Katz eye. Without the micro prism, I'd be lost. Also added the rule of thirds option. It's really helped me compose better shots, as well as keep the horizon in line. Consider trying the Katz Eye before you sell that little treasure.

Also - this is a heck of a good price.

Be well...

I also have the same focusing screen for my K20D. The Katz eye focusing screen has enabled this old phart to focus much more accurately and quickly. Highly recommended. Mine has the split, micro prism, rule of thirds, and the Opti Bright coating. Big difference!

Anyone that buys this lens should also get the Katz Eye focusing screen and they will be able to focus faster than auto-focus with this lens!

Do the Katz Eye screens fit the Samsung GX10? If so, where might I find one for a good price?

Thanks, Dave
