Hi,

Like some of you guys out there, I have too many 50mm in my collection. I don't use my FA 50mm because I prefer the handling of the DA 50mm 1.8 (don't judge my preferences haha).

My copy of the FA-50mm 1.4 is in line with what I hear everywhere. It is a little soft a 1.4 and sharpens up quickly (sharp from 1.7 and as sharp as it gets by 2.8). Honestly, the problem at 1.4 is not so much sharpness - I feel it's mostly chromatic aberration that makes it look soft (CA can be corrected fairly easily in pp).
The body is in excellent to like new condition. I keep it in a Lowepro case (pictured and included) and I will include an aftermarket all metal screw in lens hood. The glass is also scratch free. I'm assuming there could be some dust particle inside the lens, but I can't see with close inspection.
