Three Great Long Lenses! (Tamron 300/2.8 Price Reduced!)

Ok, I'm biting the bullet here but I'm digging myself out of a bit of a hole and rationalizing my gear (to some extent at least and probably only temporarily ;~) I specified "North American Shipping Destinations" just because it seems to me shipping anywhere else would be prohibitively expensive given the size and weight of the lenses but I'm open to inquiries from elsewhere. Prices do not include shipping--see below (esp the free delivery option.) Please make inquiries via PM.

Here's what's on the block:
Ashai Pentax SMC 1000/f8 (aka, Hak Lung, "The Black Dragon") $1,100 USD SOLD!
This is a serious lens in terms of IQ and in great condition. Rack & pinion focusing. It's excellent cosmetic shape for it's age: the only real damage is on the lens cap which I dropped once while removing it from the lens. Comes with original front cap & hard case plus Pentax A 1.4x-L Teleconverter.

Sigma 500/4.5 APO EX DG $3,600 USD SOLD!
This is a great modern lens. I bought it new in August 2011 and have used it quite a bit. The body is a bit scratched up but the glass is clean and it's perfectly functional. I fell with it once but took most of the impact on my butt: the only part of the lens which hit the road was the hood--which was bent as a result. A local body shop put the hood back in perfectly usable--if not perfectly round--shape. Comes with original drop-in filter, front cap & soft case plus Sigma APO 1.4x. EX DG Teleconverter

Tamron 300/2.8 SP LD IF (Adaptall 360B) $600 USD SOLD!
This is a very nice lens in beautiful condition. I'm embarrassed to admit that I really haven't used it very much at all. Comes with original drop-in filter and front lens cap and PKA adapter plus Tamron SP BBAR MC 2x Teleconverter.

PAYMENT: PayPal

SHIPPING: I pack conscientiously and ship via USPS. Please don't ask for a quote of the shipping cost--for these lenses, expect it to be +/- $200. I expect reimbursement by the buyer (in a separate PayPal transaction) of the shipping charge shown on the USPS receipt with tracking number when the lens is received.

RETURN: Full refund if return shipped within five days of receipt. Buyer pays return shipping.

FREE DELIVERY AVAILABLE TO MID-ATLANTIC BUYERS! I will personally deliver the lens to an agreed-upon location within 100 miles of Baltimore, MD.

Whoa! 1000 X 4.7 = !!!! Camera vibration, atmospheric aberrations (and, for all I know, Coriolis Effect too) -- not to mention that I couldn't even see what I was tryin' to focus on -- would make that an optical adventure an' a half.

I think the curvature of the Earth may pose a problem, as you try to photograph the sun-bathing Girls in the next county

Darn! I just bought a 60B two weeks ago.

Jokes aside, Good Luck with your sale Dave.

Bump-just so's you know these are still available.

---------- Post added 11-26-14 at 09:58 AM ----------

By way of sweetening the deal, I'm throwing in a lens-appropriate TC with each item. The TC's will not be sold separately--don't even ask ;~).

Sorry to hear you are selling your K1000/8, I think there are only two or three of us forum members that own the k-mount version.

Good luck with the sale!

Phil.

Thanks, Phil! I think my timing may have been off but I'm in no rush. In the meantime, I'll enjoy it. ;~)
