Item Description
I posted this a couple of times and I always ended up withdrawing it because I knew I was going to regret it.

The lens is virtually new. I bought it as new old stock a year and a half ago and I have used only to test it here and there. It includes the bag, the hood and the original caps. It also includes a 82mm Tiffen polarizer filter (which is a bit dirty). There a few marks on the body by the tripod mount. Also some internal dust (minor)
With my K-3 it does NOT need any adjustments.
With my K-5 it had some back focus but I used the debug mode with my laptop to calibrate it (more details about debug mode here -the link is about the k-x but it is the same for my k-5: RiceHigh's Pentax Blog: K-x Debug Mode Tutorial - AF Adjustment). It took a minute and then it worked like a charm. Obviously in manual mode you do not need to do that. I do not know how it will behave with other cameras.

Feel free to contact me with questions. I will be posting other lenses soon as I am downsizing my collection

Are you sure you will not be withdrawing it this time?

So, If I use it on my K5, I will have to debug it, or can I just adjust + or _ the micro adjustment on the camera?

Hi Pepe,
I remember in my K-5 it was a bit more of the micro-adjustment and that's why I needed the debug mode.
And I want to say I will not withdraw it, but you never now...haha. Now seriously, I have way too much equipment and no space or time

PS - the adjustment may depend on the camera. I remember that somebody told me it might not need the adjustment with a different body and it he was right. The K3 does not need it.

If it's still available once those tax refunds start rolling in a few weeks from now, I don't think it will last for long.

400 grams vs. 1070 grams

I remember I had this lens in Canon, it was wonderful. It was big, and I was thinking that it would weight more than the Pentax DA 300/4, but I was surprised. The DA300/4 weights 1070 grams, vs. the Sigma's 400 grams. Is that figure correct? That is what the review of the Sigma lens says here in the forum.

-------------
Edit: I just double check, the total weight is 1,440 grams. So, it is about 50% heavier than the DA300/4. Big deal!! I am just considering my aging arms to hold heavy stuff. I just sold the Pentax F 300/4.5 a very light gem.

yeah, it is definitely heavier than the F 300 4.5. Not sure about the DA 300. I have not been lucky enough to owe one.

Good idea! Maybe you and I could be the charter members of a club for owners of multiple copies of the 100-300mm f4!
