Item Description
New HD PENTAX DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED WR lens. Super sharp images. I also have a DA*60-250 zoom and I end up preferring this to most other lenses. I use the DA* a LOT! So I have decided I don't need this 55-300 and that someone who can't shell out around $1000- for DA* zoom will appreciate this nice alternative. I think I mounted this 3 times and shot a few images before going right back to my DA*60-250, which I love shooting with. I thought the 300 might give me the added reach I'd like but alas, I'll just have to spring for a 500mm to do what I wan to do.

Will consider trade for another lens I would actually use.

Thought I should add some photos of the lens. It comes with a nice Pentax pouch, box, caps of course. I haven't carried it around in my bag because I just love using my DA* lens and then also wanted to keep it mint for sale.

I thought some low light shots might be nice, particularly one that shows how the aperture blades handle lights burst. I'm liking that effect with the trains light.

Well turns out I need a flash. I'd be willing to trade this fine lens for a decent flash, say a Metz 58 af 2 or comparable.

I remembered I had done some night shots with this lens and I have to say, I was pleased with how it performed. The starbursts are different than the original DA aperture style but still pretty cool. And sharp. Thought I would share.

Both shots at 55mm, f22 to check the characteristics of starbursts. Exposure time was around 30 seconds or so if memory serves correctly.
