Hello all, in the wake of recent earthquake in Nepal that has killed more than 7000 people and injured more than 13500, I have decided to sell some of my gear and gather funds to help the victims of the earthquake.

The items listed below have are in very good to excellent condition. I haven't been able to make many pictures but if you are interested, please let me know and I will make some and send it to you.


1) Pentax F 50mm f1.7 (top-left in the picture)(SOLD)
Bought from a fellow forum member few months ago. Lens is in very good condition and is sharp. Few marks of use here and there. Glass is clean. Can be used with the upcoming FF.
Asking price : $145 $135 shipped

2) Pentax DA 35mm f2.4 (2nd from the top-left)(SOLD)
Has not seen much use and hence looks like new. Nice little lens for street photography. Not much to add for this one.

3) Tamron 17mm-50mm f2.8 (lower-right) (SOLD)
This one I bought off ebay last June if I remember correctly, new but it is Made in Vietnam. Has not given me any problems and works nicely. It is a bit soft on the extremes but nothing that bad. I used this lens as my go to lens but doesn't bear much signs of use. Glass is clean. Comes with original box and hood.
Asking price : For where it's made and the use it has seen, I am asking $250 shipped

4) Pentax 50-200mm ED WR (upper-right)(SOLD)
Mint condition. Excellent lens, for the price you can't beat the performance. Nothing to report on this one. Comes with original box and hood.

5) AF 200FG (SOLD)
I have used it may be twice. Bought from a fellow member who sold it almost new. Comes with original box and hood.
Asking price : $40 shipped

6) Vanguard Auctus 323AT Tripod Legs (SOLD)
Solid tripod legs. Max capacity of almost 40 pounds. Almost new as it is used only a couple of times indoors. No marks, scratches, discoloration or other defects. Comes with all original accessories.
Asking price: $150 shipped

7) SBH-100 ball head (SOLD)
This is like new. Excellent ball head. Not much to add on this one.
Asking price : $60 shipped

I have many of these lenses - or similar ones - so I really can't justify purchasing any of them.

@mwilky55 and @bpv_UV : Thanks for the kind words. I and some other folks have been actively trying to gather donations of any kind,dry foods,medicines,clothes,blankets etc to send to Nepal. Red Cross has offered to ship them over for free. The death number has now escalated to almost 5000. What's worse is that people out there are dying due lack of basic things and I just feel horrible about it. I really hope that this tragedy is over soon.[COLOR="Silver"]

Hi there,

I studied in Nepal many years ago and have been in touch with some fellow classmates and contacts in country since the earthquake. There is concern over the bureaucracy in the capital delaying or even taxing some aid, especially from larger aid organizations such as the Red Cross. Some organizations have been more successful than others at getting money and smaller shipments of supplies to remote areas. I can share some contact information if you're interested.
