Looking for good homes is a bunch of miscellaneous LX focusing screens, as listed below.
[These LX screens can be used in MX bodies as well, but there would be a 1/3-stop underexposure with an MX (unless compensated for).]
NOTES:
1. All screens come in separate plastic Pentax focusing screen cases, each with the proper installation forceps.
2. Due to sometimes inconsistent documentation and the possibilities of typos, the descriptions for each screen below are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate -- the buyer is responsible for verifying the exact intended application of any particular focusing screen -- PLEASE check a good source (such as
Pentax Focusing Screens) for verification before ordering.
3. In the descriptions below, I have used the terms "LN", "EX", "VG", and "GD" for condition and pricing -- these are terms characterized and priced as follows:
LN - $20.00 (no defects visible to me) (most of these screens are LN in condition)
EX - $15.00 (may have a small "rub" or two, close to the edge of the screen)
VG - $10.00 (may have somewhat larger or more obvious "rubs" than an EX screen)
GD - $ 5.00 (may have a scratch and/or several "rubs")
4. In the descriptions below, I have used the terms "case" and "box" -- all of the screens come in a (usually gray) Pentax hinged plastic "case" (which includes the special forceps used for installation), but some also come with the "case" inside an outside Pentax cardboard "box" as well.
5. Shipping (via USPS Priority Mail) for one, or for more than one screen, is $5.00 per order, in addition to the separate cost of each screen. [I can ship several screens for about the same cost as one.]
6. In order to minimize (my) confusion and the chance of resulting error (by me), PLEASE refer to any screen(s) you are interested in by MY SCREEN NUMBER(S) (e.g., "SCREEN #04", "SCREEN #12", etc.). [Thanks.]
7. I suggest opening any focusing screen plastic case VERY carefully, with the label side up. (Cases snap open and snap closed, but it does take a bit of effort and a sturdy grip to open one of these cases safely.)
8. I suggest examining and installing focus screens on humid days, in order to minimize static electricity and dust.
