Rikenon P 50/1.4

These lenses are all mint optically and mint or mint- cosmetically. No oil on blades, smooth focus, all aperture click stops snappy and crisp - mechanically also all perfect. $100 (three lenses are sold). Shipping at cost. PayPal accepted but M.O. preferred.

All lenses are Pentax K mount compatible. They function the same as an smc-K or Smc-m lenses.

There are no scratches or rub marks on any lens surface on any of these lenses. Any marks on the lens bodies are too small to notice. Really really clean lenses - With the exception of the Tokina 17/3.5 they were purchased as a set. Seems they were hardly used at all.

Rikenon P 50/1.4. $100. Includes both original lens caps. The lens has had the Ricoh pin removed. I can put it back, or ship it along with. The pin could interfere with the lens mount on Pentax DSLRs, and removing or replacing it is quite easy. This lens is sharper than my smc-A 50/1.,4 stopped down past f4.0. It is also equally sharp at f2.0-2.8. Check out the lens coatings - they are really Zeiss like.

Rikenon XR 28/3.5. $85 (comes with the original case, both original caps, and the original, circular metal lens hood which it shares with the 35/2.8 below). No marks or any defects whatsoever. Best aperture is at f5.6-f8. This lens is quite rare.
This lens is no longer offered for sale.

Rikenon XR 35/2.8 $65 (reduced again). Same as the XR 28/3.5 except there may be one or two very small places on the bottom of the lens barrel where paint is rubbed off a tiny bit. This lens is optically similar to the Smc-m 35/2.8 but it does not have the oily aperture problem.
Great lens. Best aperture is f4-5.6. The lens produces amazingly deep and rich colors. Also quite rare especially in this condition.
This lens is sold!!

Tokina RMC 17/3.5 - $150. (reduced again). The lens is optically Mint- and mechanically perfect. Stop this lens down a bit and it is sharp from corner to corner. Best aperture for landscapes is between f8-11. Will post photos taken with the lens later on. Great working and sharp lens. Lens sold pending payment.

5% discount for 2 or more lenses. Save on shipping. You won't be disappointed in these.

Thanks Grahame for the kind words! Will post some more photos of the lenses in a couple of days. I should mention that all of the Rikenon lenses are metal barrel versions, not the cheaper plastic constructed ones. Even the P 50/1.4 is metal.

Thanks Alamo. All four of these lenses tested as sharp. The Rikenon XR and P lenses are under-appreciated, in my opinion.

The Rikenon P 50/1.4 has amazingly smooth bokeh as well. See this shot - taken with it wide open:

Posting some example shots - first two are from the Rikenon P 50/1.4, second two are the RMC Tokina 17/3.5 , and last two are the XR Rikenon 35/2.8.
These are mostly shot with the Pentax K5 (original model).

The XR 28/3.5 is no longer for sale (sale pending elsewhere).

Last one is Rikenon 35/2.8 showing bokeh and backlight performance. I could not get this lens to produce any color fringing!

Bump to top for price reductions (also new test photos).

Check my feedback so far. All my lenses are hand selected and tested.

The Rikenon 35/2.8 lens is sold.

The Rikenon 50/1.4 "P" series lens and the Tokina RMC 17/3.5 are both still available.

Both lenses have original front and back caps.

The Tokina RMC 17/3.5 lens is getting hard to find for under $175. Most are in Nikon, Olympus, Canon or Minolta mounts. Very few are in PK mount.
Another user here mentioned that this lens can sometimes have slight "decentering" issues. This one does not as the images show.

Bump to top!

Restating my last asking prices for these two great lenses:

Rikenon "P" 50/1.4 - $100 plus shipping

Tokina RMC 17/3.5 - $150 plus shipping

If both lenses wanted, I will combine shipping and take off another $10 total ($5 per lens).

Tokina 17/3.5 is sold pending funds.

Only the 50/1.4 Rikenon "P" lens remains. Price on that is firm at $100 plus shipping.

There are some that believe this lens rivals or outperforms the Contax Zeiss 50/1.4. I believe it comes close. Colors are a bit cooler than the Zeiss. See the shot above of the leaf on the car door. Taken with the Rikenon P 50/1.4 at between f4.0 and f5.6 I believe. The tulips are with this lens completely wide open.
