Up for sale is my Pentax DA 55-300mm. This is the DA version with quick shift, and a metal rear mount. Nice versatile zoom that has good image quality, and does a good job of controlling the purple fringing. I'm not much of a long shooter, so it spends a lot of time in my bag doing nothing -- not good. Needs to go to somebody that can appreciate it, so letting it go to fund another purchase.

Body and hood are in great physical shape, no nicks or chips, anything like that. Zoom ring has zero creep in it. Glass is in fantastic shape. No scratches, fungus, haze, any of that stuff, and the aperture assembly works as it should. Overall great condition.

Asking $160 shipped in CONUS (will use USPS or UPS), and will ship to Canada (we can PM about cost once I get your location). No other international shipping, sorry. Payment via PayPal.

I live in Bremerton Wash. I need a lens like yours. I am now useing a 70/300 SIGMA. I do outdoor photography. I have used my SIGMA for about 5 years and had i cleaned once but it is kind of getting worn out and is good for the scrap heap.I am paying my taxes now but in November I would like to buy your lens. I can drive down to you and pick it up. Can you wait a few weeks? ?

Great lens, someone who doesn't already own one needs to buy this. It is not as light as the 50-200, but it is quite light compared to the 60-250 and has great reach. Images are very nice when the lighting permits shooting stopped down. Even wide open the results are far more impressive than you would expect from a consumer zoom.

Man, I sometimes really miss my 55-300. The size, the reach, the whining as it focuses... like music!

And LOL on the focus noise! My thoughts exactly. Surprises me at the image quality though, especially compared to the Tamron/Sigma variants.
