Sears 135/2.8 with macro zone

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sears 135/2.8 with "macro zone"

Asking Price
$40 USD

Item Location
New York (United States)

Item Description
The optics are sharp. The focus barrel and the aperture move smoothly. I conservatively listed as fair condition because of minor external cosmetic wear and dust that won't affect photos. I am selling because I bought a DFA 100 macro.

The old dreaded 'Ricoh pin" (that can get stuck on the modern AF screw) has been removed. Front and rear caps are included.

The parade photo below was taken with this lens mounted on a K-5

Bump. $40 including shipping and Paypal fees to continental US locations. Will consider shipping worldwide but we'll need to discuss shipping.

Just to help this along: I have one of these lenses and cannot describe the magic it is capable of rendering, which is why I will never part with it. You can do incredible, artsy things with this lens, including utilizing the famous "Sears Glow". Just awesome.

Bump for a good member. I've owned this lens, as well. Fun lens built like a tank, and cool results while playing in the macro zone. Normal optics are plenty sharp. Was my primary 135 when I was shooting Pentax MF.

Vouching for the quality of this lens - I've enjoyed using mine quite a lot over the years, and with the FF coming out it will probably make for a decent portrait lens on it.

How well do you think this lens would work on a K-S1?

Edit: Also could you pm me pictures of the lens? Your last 2 pictures for some reason are not working for me

Last edited by ccarlitos2; 12-31-2015 at 11:30 PM. Reason: Curious what the last two pictures are as they do not work for me.

Had this lens for a brief period, can't recommend it enough as a MF play lens.

I relinked images of the lens in the top post. Let me know if you still can't see them.

The lens should work well on a K-S1. The lens has an "A" aperture setting that allows the camera to control the aperture. Av, Sv, TAv, P, M, and other modes should work. Focus is manual.

More info about this lens model at https://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/sears-135mm-f-2-8-macro-zone.html

it works now thank you so much! I really want this lens and so many people are backing it up. I don't even have my camera yet though... comes in Monday. If this hasn't sold by Thursday next week I'll probably jump on it if not sooner. Good luck with the sale!
