How is this in low-light, particularly AF on moving subjects?

Honestly, I can't say that I've used it too much under those specific conditions. It's mostly been my indoor, family function type lens. Having said that, I've not noticed any particular difficulty with focusing.

Thanks,
Eric

The Tamron is faster than the DA*16-50 for sure with moving objects. As far as low light moving objects? I don't think any lens is great at that. I have used this lens extensively and a good copy of this lens is awesome.

Do you have any sample shots? I'm a painful novice in these parts so I'm not sure what type of pictures this lens would be best suited for...

The lens no longer has a loose filter ring. A kind forum member sent me instructions for fixing it. Turns out it was a loose screw, behind the trim ring. It was a REALLY simple fix.

Still for sale.

It seems pretty sharp to me. However, I have a different camera than you & I may not be as discerning as you.
