This is the Pro version of this fast zoom, which compares very favorably to its Sigma and Tamron competition. It is also hard to find. Take a look at the user reviews - rated at 9.7 for sharpness and 9.7 for value. It is heavy, but that comes with being an all metal, F2.8 zoom. It may be the most solidly built lens you can own.
