I have a C/Y mount and earlier version of this lens. It is a good lens to have when FF comes. When I use the early on my Sony A6000 with aps-c, I like its close focus and the normal lens view

I don't know why this is still here! Temptation! I'd be all over it if I hadn't just (somewhat unexpectedly) won a DA21 at that Bay place...

It's a great lens (I have the same marked "photoline") and it's awesome on our apsc

Thanks for the bumps, everyone! I did prefer this 36mm equivalent focal-length lens to the DA when I had both!

Free bump for a great lens. Works best on film and you probably can't get a better price for an ultra wide for the new K-1

thanks for reporting back! This then proves that these sigmas has to be different electronically because my shiny-metal-bodied copy would not focus accurately in liveview and works good only in phase detection AF mode.

Someone will grab a nice bargain here !
I have both AF versions, so far untested, in Canon EF mount. I've had the 'rubbery' one for several years, while owning no Canon body but a bargain $9.99 Rebel G 35-mm eBay snag... due to my being the only (cheapskate) bidder. I picked up the spiffy full metal jacket version at auction to compare for use on Sony mirrorless with smart adapter. Though any auto-focusing potential is limited by the contrast-only mode available with smart adapters on my present bodies, I wonder if the foregoing observations regarding AF performance might apply as well with Canon... or, Canon-'imitated', in my case. Does anyone here have any insight about this? I never cared much about the Canon end of things until recently acquiring two uniquely totable image-stabilized EF-S zoom lenses plus the 40mm f.2.8 STM for my A5000 (Pentax emulation, you might say!).

Sounds like a question better suited for Canon forums, perhaps? I don't know much about Canon stuff either...
