Takumar (bayonet) 135/2.5

Two lenses up for sale, one which comes with a K1000. Prices include shipping within the contiguous USA.

Takumar (bayonet) 135/2.5 - The only reason I'm selling this lens is that I bought a K 135/2.5. Yes, I know what folks say about this lens. And if you're shooting a subject backlit by the sun, good luck. But under controlled lighting, and by bumping the contrast in LR, this lens can shine. I used it photographing musicians' hands and faces at the Shitty Barn, a great little music venue, and it delivered. (See the sample photo of Charlie Parr below--well, Charlie's left hand on his fretless banjo.) Anyway, this example is in excellent condition--glass, barrel, aperture, everything. $60 $37 US, including shipping within the contiguous USA.

K1000 w/ M 50/2 - Yes, the rarest of body/lens combinations in Pentax history . . . not. The K1000 is in fair shape, what with the missing collar around the shutter speed dial and a non-working meter. The shutter speed dial works, though, as does the shutter itself. (The shutter seems accurate, too.) The lens is in better shape, but it's missing the focusing rubber thingee. (This was my wife's camera, which she hasn't used in years. She stays away from my lenses and other photo equipment, thank goodness.) $40 $19 US, including shipping in the contiguous USA. SOLD

I try to describe equipment as it is, but doesn't mean I'll have covered everything about the item. If you have any question about something I haven't mentioned, let me know.

Payment via PayPal.

Returns accepted within three days of receipt if not as described; please PM first. Full refund; buyer pays for return shipping.

If interested, send me a private message. Thanks for looking!

How's the inside of the K1000 look through the viewfinder? Is it clear? I'm interested if it is clear.

K1000

Hey, photolady.

Yes, the K1000 is remarkably clean inside: the pressure plate is spotless, as is everything else in the film chamber. The pentaprism seems clear, too: there are a few specks of dust, but they moved around when I used my little squeeze blower, so it seems they're on the bottom of the ground glass rather than inside the viewfinder itself. I'm thinking if it weren't February, there'd be less static electricity in the air and the specks of dust would disengage from the glass. Even so, they don't seem bothersome to me at all--I wish my K-5 were as clear as the K1000.

The lens, too, seems really clear. There's no apparent dust inside the lens, nor fungus or cloudiness of any sort, and the front and rear elements are scratch-free. The rubber grip around the focus ring is missing, and at some point I had a broccoli band in its place, but I've since removed that.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, or if you'd like a photo of the camera with its back open, let me know.

Nath

ok. another question. in your ad on the K1000 you had this as the last line:
QuoteQuote:
$19 US, including shipping in the contiguous USA.
however, in another post you list price as $21. Which is the correct price, just so we're clear on what I should send you via PayPal?
