Pentax K-5 with DA 16-45 f4 Price Reduced

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax K-5 with DA 16-45 f4

Asking Price
260.00 USD

Item Location
Austin (United States)

Item Description
Selling my workhorse of the past 3 years. The K-5 along with the 16-45 f4.
This was the only combination I could afford as a student.
The 16-45 is much more than a kit lens. This combination has given me stellar results.

Things to note:
A) The body shows wear. Has a few chips here and there.
B) I lost the eye cup. Did not replace because I never needed it.
C) I don't have the original box or any accessories other than the charger.
D) I bought this camera in Singapore. So my charger is an asian one. Will provide compact adapter with the charger.

Shutter Count: So there is a discrepancy here. The online tools available say that the Shutter Count is 35k. However there is no chance that there could have been so many actuations. I have had this for 3 years now. I am not a professional. Now I went and checked my hard drive and there are approximately 6k files. Even if you consider a 100% error, there should not be more than 13-14k actuations.
The only reason I can think of is that in between, my camera lcd broke (replaced with original from Pentax 6 months later). Due to some accidental change in settings probably my photos clicked during that time were all back dated. Once I fixed my lcd I reset the date. I am not sure if this can cause this problem, but I can think of nothing else.

About the lens: I don't have the hood anymore. Comes with original caps. The glass is in perfect condition.

I ll check and let you know the accurate number.
But I am guessing it should be about 10k to 15k.

Shutter Count: So there is a discrepancy here. The online tools available say that the Shutter Count is 35k. However there is no chance that there could have been so many actuations. I have had this for 3 years now. I am not a professional photographer. I only shoot when I am travelling. Now I went and checked my hard drive and there are approximately 6-7k files. Even if you consider a 100% error, there should not be more than 13-14k actuations.

35k isn't a big deal.

I agree. These shutters are rated for 100k actuations. Nevertheless there is possibly an error. For my kind of use, 35k seems like a lot.
