for what it's worth... I believe, based on reading paypal buyer protection propaganda, that that program offers some form of compensation if one of those pricey lenses is damaged in transit.

please don't take my word on it, but it might be worth investigating and add some piece of mind, if true.

Thanks for the suggestion, personally I can say it will be packed so well it won't get damaged unless something catastrophic happens, the buyers however do get the full protection with paypal, its the seller I'm worried about LOL, I really don't want to be out $5000, nor does the consignee.

$2400 RARE!!! Tamron SP AF 300mm F2.8 LD DI (60EP) (Approx. $1776 USD), This is the RARE auto focus version of the Tamron SP 300mm F2.8 Adaptall-2 60B model, it comes with the 360B model's hood, a lens coat cap, the original Tamron 112mm Normal Multi Coated Filter, and the 43mm Normal drop-in filter. And it comes with the Wimberley P10 Plate. Aside from being well used and having quite a bit of its cosmetic finish come off its still in great condition, built as solid as a rock. It comes with an odd but unique focus limited and a cover for the focus ring which does rotate during AF. I also believe that as few as 100 were actually made for the Pentax mount. On my K-3 it seemed to prefer a +7 AF adjustment, this may be different on your camera or it may not need an adjustment at all.
*A note on shipping, To the US and Canada I can only insure up to $1000 by the standard post, I will look into courier options if requested, Also given the price we might be able to arrange a day-trip meet-up as well.

$275 Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 EX DG (Approx. $204 USD), Cheap full frame lens that is pretty good, sharpness is a little weak at F2.8 but amazing at F4.0, its not big either. On my camera it requires an AF adjustment of -6, your camera may be different. This comes with the original box and square pouch. I'd be asking over $300 if it didn't require AF adjustment. It has a small dust particle inside that will have absolutely no affect on the image quality. Considering the full frame cameras will be announced on October 6th this is a great time to get a cheap good F2.8 zoom for the full frame camera.

$100 Pentax FA 28-105mm F4-5.6 IF Silver (Approx. $74 USD), This is the Tamron clone version, a very good lens in bargain condition, It is marked down to about 50% of the market value as it has sustained some damage, there are 2 minor scratches outside the optical path in the top corner of the front element. These scratches will not affect the image quality. There is also a chuck of the plastic trim beside the front element, its been re-seated, pressure fit, not glue! it does not detract from the usability of the lens and certainly has no affect on the image quality. you may think something catastrophic happened but thats not quite what happened, the lens is still perfectly good, I'll be posting brick wall shots shortly to prove it, it just doesn't look great and has clearly had an accident. I may be open to offers on this lens but please don't go too low. The last 4 photos show the issues.

$90 Pentax FAJ 75-300mm F4.5-5.8 Silver (Approx. $67 USD), Great condition, If you want a cheap lens with range, reach light weight and decent image quality this is the one to get, by F8.0 its actually rather quite good.

$70 Sigma UC Zoom 24-50mm F4-5.6 (Approx. $52 USD), this is a cute compact short zoom, decent quality, good condition, not much larger than the new 18-50mm kit, this would be excellent mated with the new FF camera coming this fall.

$70 Pentax F 35-105mm F4-5.6 (Approx. $52 USD), Great condition, fast focusing, but one minuscule hard to find flaw, on one of the internal elements there appears to be a small extremely hard to find faint patch of haze that will have no affect on image quality. I've taken photos with the lens and can't find an issue so i wouldn't worry about it. In fact you may not even find the issue unless you look good and hard for it.

$60 Sigma 100-300mm F4.5-6.7 DL (Approx. $44 USD), great shape, comes with hood, don't discount this lens especially at this price, Just tested on the K-3 in low light with the flash, its sharp wide open!

$50 Pentax F 35-70mm F3.5-4.5 #1248727 (Approx. $37 USD), This lens is in excellent condition except for minor haze (seems to be common, not an issue IMO for regularly use) and one tiny little fungus spot (not growing) and hard to find.

$50 Pentax F 35-70mm F3.5-4.5 #1254580 (approx $37 USD), this lens is in great condition, However has some light haze, I've used it several times and didn't find any issue in real life photography. Its likely one of the fastest focusing lenses Pentax ever made, It too is par focal and has good image quality. another one which i fully intended to keep for its features but haven't used it in a while.

SOLD$70 Pentax F 70-210mm F4-5.6 (Approx. $50 USD), This lens is in good working condition however it has some minor haze and the common but very minor fine bubble like effect which is likely a minor defect in the glue between 2 elements, It still works well and i still consider the image quality to be quite good.

Anyway, can't see a realistic way to get it here from Canada without a very heavy customs fine. So I will have to settle for a bump.

I am curious about your opinion of the Tamron 300mm f2.8 for fast moving sports like motorcycle racing. I am looking for better quality pictures. I have the DA* 60-250 f4, but would like more reach (use K5, & recently upgraded to K3ii). I don't know how the 60-250 would handle the 1.4 t/c, so looking at 300 & beyond. I have been watching the Tamron 300 f2.8 SP Adaptall 2 lenses but AF is important. I am in BC Canada. Thanks Randy
