When this Sony came out, it was the first superzoom that I ever thought had everything in one package. Incredible zoom, hi-res flip screen, hi-res (for a bridge) EVF, image stabilization, GPS, wi-fi, 10fps... all of it! (The only thing missing is an eye-sensor to switch between EVF & LCD)

Hi Panoguy. Thanks for the good words about this splendid camera. However, it does have the eye sensor so the lcd comes on when you move your eye away from the viewfinder and vice versa. A really handy camera to take on a walk or hike.

this is a great camera! The wifi doesn't work with anything more a 6 character name and I can really see no reason for GPS. I bought it in December and have been having good play ever since. Its B&W is luscious and enhanced with a yellow filter. Despite acquisition of a used k-5 to play around for other purposes, the Sony is will my grab and go camera. And I really like the articulating LCD viewer. That and the a77ii are luring me toward Sony. Will Pentax would get on the ball and setup all their cameras like the KS2 or at least as good as a Sony.

Just my two cents ...

Thanks for your thoughts tper75296. My wifi has a 12 character password and it connected without problems. I do use WPS to connect to the router. Also GPS is one of its strong points. I use my cameras on hikes and backpacking trips and it is great to have the photos pinpointed on the map for later reference. A side hobby is native american petroglyph sites and the gps patterns are very helpful in studying their distribution. Anyway, we both agree that it is a neat camera.

can't get my wifi to take characters at all the the default mask is 6 or 8. Can see where you would need the GPS. In any case, this is a great camera for anyone looking to get it done in a well designed package for nearly anything. I am torn over my next jump -- K3 or leave Pentax altogether for Sony a77ii (that's a leap! $$$). Whatever, I have the hx400v to fall back on while I experiment.

anyone wants to see independent photos to help make up mind on Mikesul's offering, PM me and I will send some from over the last month, snowmaggen and all ...

regards.
