Feisol tripod

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Feisol tripod

Asking Price
285.00 USD

Item Location
Colorado (United States)

Item Description
Feisol CT-3441T legs and CB-40d ball head. Included is carrying bag, allen wrench, original box, etc (everything you'd get if buying it new).

Condition good to excellent. I try to rate conservatively. Has some signs of use, but functions flawlessly and should for many years to come. It has served me well for the last 5 or so years, without missing a beat in any situation/conditions.

For those not familiar, this is a carbon fiber (water resistant for very good durability and long life) tripod that is without a doubt one of the best values in support. Goes to nearly 70", folds down to less than 19", combined weight only 3.6 lbs. It costs $500 new, so you're getting it at a 40% discount. Finding this combination of specs and performance in other brands will cost much more.

It has 4-section legs with twist locks. Some find them tedious - I've found that after using them a bit it is still very quick to set up and take down - probably 30 seconds or less.

I'm only selling as I'm constantly searching for the lightest, most compact tripod that can do the job, and I'm going to try out a couple lighter/smaller models than this.

Note that I've had this listed a couple times in the past here, but have withdrawn due to a combination of lack of interest as well as second thoughts on my part. After lots of hemming and hawing, I'm now sure I want to sell it and try some other models. The price, however, is absolutely firm. If I can't sell it for the price listed here, I will keep it.

Thanks for looking. Feel free to PM with questions. Photos available on request if you're seriously interested.

-Brandon

Yes, this is a terrific tripod for the money. Especially impressive is the combo of size closed and open plus weight. Consider this a strong endorsement. Can't speak to the head, as I have an Acratech for it. Twist locks can be fiddly, but they all are IMO, and clip locks snag and add weight---good for the studio, not for the bush. I'm not sure I'd sell mine until I had it's replacement in hand, though!

Your post has convinced me not to get one.

I have a 3442 feisol myself, so I'm not in the market. Free bump though and endorsement for this series of tripod. I've been really impressed with mine and even use it in saltwater with no issues (with basic rinsing and cleaning.)

A great tripod

Feisol is one of the best kept secrets in Photography. I've had mine for 4 years now and have never regretted the purchase. If you want fancy colors look elsewhere, if you want a darn good tripod, you could do much worse.

Did post a photo of the set somewhere?

Never mind. I found it. Total weight is 5 pounds. It looks like a nice light set.
