And its relative small size and f/1.8 make it a good bargain in my book.

The focusing and aperture rings are reversed with the aperture control away which is closer to front and the MF is near body. You can feel the steps in the aperture ring but it is almost like a step-less ring where you can comfortably place anywhere in between steps.

not sure if I use a diopter on this shot

From my recollection, the sharpness is quite good for this c-mount lens. I don't have an extra hood as the front is recessed but I do run into strange but good potential of interesting flare in one occasion

I like its sharpness and color.

Characters for Fujinon:
  • Good sharpness
  • Surprising good color
  • Vignette a bit in wide open
  • take sometime to get used to the focusing ring
  • aperture blade opening can have sharp edges but I don't see issues in ringed lights so far
  • can have interesting flare without hood
  • very small and compact for a 75mm f/1.8
  • c-mount is great with thin adapter

Shipping & Handling

  • International buyers welcome, shipping fee extra
  • Please check on my past feedbacks and buy with confidence

I discussed in length the reasons that I sell both of these lenses in this thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/10-pentax-slr-lens-discussion/312655-lens...-90-105mm.html

My other lens with Tamron 90 for sale

The Contax comes with the Kiwi thin adapter for Sony E-mount. MF is difficult to do on all MF mount adapters but the Kiwi is the better one. I have used a few Contax-G to Sony E adapters with Metabones, Fotassy, TechArt v2 and this Kiwi adapter. The MF is best in Metabones but I dislike it for its size and bulk. I like the Kiwi and Fotassy for thinness but the Kiwi is better in the look, build and ease of mounting. The MF takes some time to get used to as all adapters stay at the back of the lens.

The manual focus ring on the Super-Tak offers the best experience in manual focusing. If I don't carry the guilt of having Pentax WR 100mm f/2.8 macro, I would like to keep the Takumar for both digital and film usage.

Cheers,
Hin

The adapter that you see on the picture are from Contax G to Sony E (or FE for full frame) mount. Sony E or FE mount has 18mm registration distance, unlike the dslr mount with 46+ mm. Sony E or FE mount is the mirrorless mount for Sony A7 series or Sony A6000, A6300 series or prior NEX cameras.

Sony A or Alpha mount comes from Minolta and I don't think there is adapter form Sony A mount to Pentax K or m42 mount but I can be wrong about this. I do see adapter form Pentax K to Sony A mount and there is a glass element in the adapter.

[note:] Both Contax G and Super-Takumar enses are available for sale.

Hin

Bump. As soon as I find the right time, I will try to take some test shots with both lenses.

Thank you. If anyone have interest on Fujinon 75mm f/1.8 in C-mount, please let me know as I am undecided if I let go the 75 or the 105. The Fujinon 75mm f/1.8 is in c-mount and comes with a C-mount to Sony E-mount adapter, it will work with APS-C sensor or smaller m43 kind. More test pictures of Fujinon in this thread.

Cheers,
Hin

I have withdrawn the Super-Takumar 105mm f/2.8 from sale and added Fujinon 75mm f/1.8 in C-mount that is sold with a C-mount to Sony E-mount adapter. This is a very fine piece of glass with stepless aperture control, wonderful blades and surprisingly sharp images with outstanding color when I tried it with Sony NEX 5N and Sony A6000. This c-mount work with APS-C sensor or M43 sensor. It will vignette on FF with FE mount in Sony unless you use crop mode on Sony FF camera bodies.

Cheers,
Hin

Shot wide open with Fujinon 75mm f/1.8 and A6000. I have listed this lens along with Super-Tak 150 on another forum, I like the Fujinon more for its speed and tiny size for a 75mm and wonderful speed that I can use wide open.

I am taking this lens out to shoot some more and if I like what I see, I may withdraw it from sale. I need a better C-mount adapter, the current one has a bit of play. Not severe but I would love tighter mount. At f/1.8, the lens seems to be reasonably sharp enough but I did not bother on the noise reduction and hence you may see more than usual. The A6000 isn't excellent on noise but reasonably ok to good.

Cheers,
Hin

I like the rendering of the soft bokeh as well as the water coloring effects from this specialty lens in c-mount. I have ordered hopefully a better C-mount to E-mount adapter. My current adapter has a bit of play in manual focusing. I have decided to withdraw it from sale.

Cheers,
Hin
