I am interested in the Tamron 35-70 lens. You have mentioned that it comes with Sony A mount. Does that mean I will need to get a K mount adapter ?

The pentax genuine adapters are very expensive but you can't rely on all 3rd party adapters as some are loose in the mount giving you unpleasant wobbling in adjusting focusing. I have used K&F concept on Sony-A mount with firm mounting, here is an sample listing for Pentax K-mount adapter

Tamron Adaptall 2 Lens to Pentax PK Mount Adapter Ring K20D K200D K10D 100D K M | eBay

The best adapter will be the Tamron genuine PK-A adaptall-2 adapters that support A setting, but they run from $75 to $125 and they are subject to issues with loose connection

Please do let me know if you still have interest.

Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 35-80mm F2.8-3.8 (01A) Lens Reviews - Tamron Adaptall Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

I can ship it with Nikon, Canon, Sony A or Olympus type of adapters but I don't have a spare K- adapter to spare. You will need to get a Pentax K adapter for adaptall-2 mount. The PK-A adaptall-2 will support Aperture settings on Pentax body while the PK adapter will need to be used in Manual mode with green button for stop-down metering similar to a Pentax K manual lens.

Please do let me know if you still want to proceed. If you do, please reply me your zip code to check on the actual shipping fee from USPS priority mail 2 to 3 day service. It should be around $12.00 to most US cities.

Thanks
Hin

I am the one who purchased item #2. I can tell you that making arrangements with this member was easy - "except" that he kept coming back with questions to make sure I understood what I was getting myself into.

The lens arrived today, well-packed and apparently in good condition. I'll have to decide which back {I'm testing both PKA and M42} to use in my testing, but it is great to have it so soon. Thank you hinman, and my experience should encourage others thinking of bidding for one of the other lenses listed in this thread.

Much thanks! A great transaction with both happy seller and buyer.

Truth be told that I hate selling my gear but I have way too much gear. If I figure out an easy way to be organized with my lenses, I will keep all of my Takumar and Tamron adaptall-2 lenses. They are the finest and underrated value types that I have used. When I move to Sony mirrorless, I tried others as in Konica AR, Canon FD, Minolta AF, Contax G, DLK. I keep come back appreciating more on the Takumar and adaptall-2 series.

Cheers,
Hin

3. Super-Takumar 55mmmm f/1.8 ($45.00 + shipping) [SOLD]
  • $30 for lens alone without hood and without lens case, both caps included

For the budget minded who is looking for a better bargain, you can have the lens alone option for $30 + shipping. Shipping is around $8 to most cities in US.

Cheers,
Hin
