SMC Pentax-A 100mm F2.8 PRICE REDUCTION

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
SMC Pentax-A 100mm F2.8 PRICE REDUCTION

Asking Price
220.00 USD

Item Location
Idaho (United States)

Item Description
Selling my somewhat rare and in beautiful condition, A Series 100mm F2.8. There is some very minor wear on tips of aperture ring (I had to look hard to see it) and some even less visible wear on the knurling of the built in hood. I found a blemish on the very outer edge of an internal element. Some internal dust as per normal. Overall truly excellent condition. Everything functions properly. I really like this very compact lens but recently bought a D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro which is replacing it and my A 100mm F4 Macro (to be listed in another thread). Comes with generic front and rear caps. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

This is a very overlooked and somewhat uncommon prime. It is, by far, the smoothest focusing Pentax lens I own--near cine quality. Whoever buys it will be VERY happy.

Thanks for the comment Fat Albert. It is a fine lens indeed. I have owned 2 "M" versions and 1 "A" version. All have been stellar performers. A while back I purchased a D FA 100 Macro thinking it could replace this lens and my A 100 F4 macro and give me auto focus to boot. The D FA does the job but is not as tiny, lightweight, or buttery smooth as the "A". I hate to see it go, but I need to thin out the herd some now.

Correct. Not the macro version. I do have a 100 F4 Macro for sale in a different thread though.

I saw that. However, I'm not looking to buy but thought others looking at this one might think it's the macro version and wanted to verify it isn't.
