[SOLD] Vivitar AT-22 Extension Tubes Set & Kenko 2x APK Teleplus MC4

1. Vivitar AT-22 Extension tubes ($70 + shipping)
size 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm for Macro Extension Tubes
  • Useful, difficult to find macro accessory in mint condition
  • Although listed as used, there is no evidence the tubes are not new
  • In original case with front and rear end caps
  • Three sizes: 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm
  • Use as a single tube, stacked in various combinations of 2 tubes, or a stack of all three tubes
  • Automatic in sense that tubes allow the lens to stay full aperture while focusing and stop down only when the shutter is pressed ... accomplished by mechanical linkage
  • The tubes has no electrical contacts and hence it won't allow autofocus and automatic aperture merering.
  • I paid $86.00 + shipping for the item in ebay a month back and I am decided to buy 1:1 Macro lens instead, hence the selling
  • Previous SOLD thread of identical item for $80.

2. Kenko 2x APK Teleplus MC7 ($12.00 + shipping)
  • In good condition with a case. The leather case is worn out.
  • Item only has rear cap
  • Has mechanical linkage for stop down metering
  • MC7 with 7 elements
  • Has no electrical contacts for AF and metering, need to use stop down metering

3. Shipping & Package
  • actual shipping charge using USPS priority
  • prefer paypal with bank a/c (not credit card) and US buyers but I can accommodate for international buyers with extra charge on shipping and paypal fee
  • please check on my feedbacks

Pictures of actual items will follow.

Typo for MC4 instead of MC7

About the Kenko 2x Teleplus, it is actually an MC7 with 7 elements. Though I have corrected on the title, the listing in marketpalce still uses uncorrected MC4 in the title.

Anyone who bought the two items togehter, I will offer package pricing of $78.00 + shipping.

The extension tubes will work with 1:2 macro such as Pentax A 50 f/2.8 Macro 1:2. In adding a magnification ratio with (extension length/focal length) to the existing magnification ratios. For instance, with my A 50 f/2.8 1:2 macro, I add one tube with 20mm, I get roughly 1/2 + 20/50 = 0.9 ratio, closer to 1:1 macro.

Test shots using Vivitar AT-22 Extension Tubes

I have few test shots using my K10D, Pentax A 50 f/2.8 1:2 Macro along with Vivitar AT-22 Extension tubes.

All are hand held test shots. In avoiding the wind, I used one hand to hold the flowers still while I took these with single hand, hence the softness in some of the shots. No sharpening are performed on these test shots.

CA is well controlled

I learned about these extension tubes from another Pentaxian who recommend these extension tubes with Pentax M 100mm f/4.0 1:2 Macro and I have the Pentax K 100mm f/4.0 1:2 macro which I can use 56mm extension to get over 1:1 magnification, Joachim's review and sample shots using 36+20=56mm extension

Joachim's review on Pentax M 100mm f/4.0 1:2 Macro
(In the review, Joachim uses 56mm extension to get to 1.1:1 ratio)

Please PM me with questions.

Thanks,
Hin
