Can you let me know the significance of the low serial number? Is it just for collecting interest, or did the early samples have better quality control? Thanks.

Supposedly the low serial numbers of the FA43 had a coating on the glass that became discontinued with later production runs due to heavy metal regulations. I have not personally seen an example showing whether or not it has any significant effect on IQ. For me it is primarily a fun thing.
