[SOLD] Pentax Ist* DS plus lenses

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax Ist* DS plus lenses

Item Description
Im looking to sell my Pentax Ist* DS about 1500-2000 snaps. Never dropped no scratches. Only blemish is on the matte focusing screen theres a little line but does not effect anything! The kit lens is perfect, and the 50mm f2 manual lens is in prime shape also! Comes with a 256mb sd card.

STILL HAS WARRANTY FROM RITZ

I am selling because i come from shooting a nikon and i want to go back i know that sounds terrible but i have a ton of nikon lenses that are really good so i figure i could put them to use. If anyone has a nikon to trade im willing to do that!!! But otherwise 350 for everything. I dont have pictures yet but i will take some tonight.

I think the concern being expressed is that even though the same mount is used, Nikon does not always support full functionality with older lenses to the same extent that Pentax does (which, to be sure, isn't perfect either - the need to do stop-down metering on lenses with no auto-aperture mechanism, for example). In particular, if these are AF lenses that rely on a body motor rather than having the motor in the lens, be sure to get a Nikon body that *has* a body motor - the low end Nikon DSLR's don't. Meaning your AF lenses won't actually AF. There may be other compatibility issues - and of course, there is the whole crop factor business. So just be sure to do your homework regaridng the specific lenses you have and the specific camera bodies you are considering.

D300, eh? That's a decent step up from the *ist.
Then you must have some extra $$$ to spend...

Since you're asking, yes, you can prolly get a K100D/K110D for about that depending on how hard you looked.

Yes but the *istDS has TTL flash which is why I still have mine along with its great high ISO imaging.
