This transceiver can be used to trigger wireless cactus compatible flash guns that will be off-camera (Cactus transceivers have a built-in receiver). Also, if you want also a flash on-camera, you can mount it on the trasnceiver hotshoe, this can be almost any flash (check the cactus website for compatibility).
