Now I know why it got its nick. Hah!

Picture of lens =cool.

Pictures of "whales, eagles, and sea lions" would be even cooler.

Semi-interested bump.

Hi Gary,

I got back from the Alaskan Cruise Sunday early, early morning. Then after a few hours of sleep, flew out again on business. I just got back last night and I am now sorting through the photos. I intend on posting a few photos soon - possibly later today.

The Bigma worked out great, but I am selling it to get the DA*300. What was most impressive is Pentax's shake reduction system. The boat we were on was bouncing around in the bay, and I was shooting hand-held at 500mm, getting some great shots!!! I did boost the ISO to 800 or 1600, but managed to get the photos!!

Hey Tom,
I thought you were going to use the old A*300 that I sold you on your trip. LOL BTW there was a DA* 300 for sale on the forum a few days ago at a pretty good price and only 3 months old.

Ya, I thought I was going to use the A*300 too. I sent a PM explanation. Ugh!

Of course I missed the DA*300 sale. The timing is typical, I was out of town on business as soon as I got back from Alaska. I usually end up paying full price my lenses. I have a lack of luck.

The Bigma has sold. But I thought that I would tease you with a couple photos before I close this thread!

The lightning was dull, so I brightened it up a bit in DXO.
