Item Description
For sale is my Sigma APO 50-500 OS HSM "Bigma". Excellent condition with minimal signs of use on the tripod collar/handle.
First owner, I bought it from SRS Microsystems last year in June. Warranty card stamped and included.
Optics are in excellent condition, would've ticked the "Like New" condition if the tripod collar wasn't scuffed. The lens was not dropped or mishandled in
any way, always kept it in its padded case or kept it across my shoulder on a strap during a few hikes.
No scuffs on the barrel, zoom and focus rings work nice and fluid, like new. Zoom lock works firmly. Focusing is quick and silent, none of the screwdrive "whirr" or the sluggishness of SDM.
Tracking is good, makes the K-3 AF as efficient as it can get. For me it needed -5 on AF micro adjustment to get the focus spot on.
Optical stabilization makes handholding it at 500mm a lot easier, that is if your arm can take it.
I put neoprene fall/winter cover on from "www.outdoorphotographygear.co.uk" and have the spring/summer cover set in its bag, nice protection from scuffs and UV light that would destroy the usual Sigma rubberized finish. (Why, Sigma, why?)
Included are the zoom barrel net but didn't order the extra piece for the APS-C hood adapter, I found it too finicky to use.
The neoprene covers are of course part of the package.

This is excellent lens. I use it for sports mostly. On K3 II. Tried last week on K1 it is even better on it. Fast, reliable and beatiful results. Free bump.
