Item Description
Now that I have picked up the DFA 24-70, I have to part reluctantly with my lovely FA* 28-70. I bought it used, and it has been an excellent performer for me. Hoping it goes to a good home, to someone who will appreciate its workmanship and strengths.

Comes with original hood and box, as well as non-original front and back caps. I just found and will throw into the sale a 67-77mm step-up ring that I used to mount 77mm polarizers onto this lens, which saved me from buying a 67mm polarizer.

You can see something of its potential in the lens review section in which I posted photos taken with the lens some time ago.

Both are excellent lenses. The newer one is a bit smaller and lighter, which at my age helps.

Though massive and heavy, there is no other zoom in similar range that shoots sharper field work than this one! I've sold/published dozens of images shot through it...on bright sunlit days it rocks (rather than melting like most similar 24/28-70/80 lenses). Still produces stunning color and contrast in muddy crap light too. May not be a hand holder for those with challenged wrist strength, but that's why they make tripods! (metal lens construction weighs more than plastic...worth every ounce) I formerly shot Pentax 67II and Hasselblad XPan side by side with this little gem and the sharpness of this thing is amazing. Stands right up to the medium format images. Can't figure out why this hasn't sold, especially at such a reasonable price.
