Looking at a fast f2.8 zoom. Either a 17-50, 18-50, or 17-70mm. I know the 17-70's are 2.8-4 but they'll work for what i need them for.

Both the Tamron and Sigma in these ranges are good. They each have f 2.8 max aperture lenses (not floating max aperture, e.g. 2.8 to 4).

Here is an EBay link to a Tamron: tamron 17-50 f2.8 pentax | eBay

Here is a EBay link to a Sigma: Sigma 17-50 f2.8 pentax | eBay

Both are quite reasonable!

I am currently selling the SMC DA* 16-50mm f2.8 as well as the SMC DA 17-70 f4. The conditions of both lenses are excellent. I sell them due to Switch to Fuji mirrorless.

Please do not hesitate to contact me anytime. Would be great!
