Wow... hello Shanti.

Never thought I would see one of these in Denmark!
And... Western Denmark, you say?
I live near Viborg. And I just bought the Sigma 500mm f4.5, which kind of disqualifies me from getting this one too. But, all the same - I certainly wouldn't mind taking a look, if that was possible. Any chance we are sort of neighbours?

My wife just reminded me what I said when I recently purchased a DA*300 - 'Now I have everything I need'.
The 150-450 would be nice though, and it's just around the corner

Whaaat? Another birder/telelens-pentaxian from Denmark! There's more of us than I dreamt of!

And the DA*300 is my favourite lens, but with the flight distances of Danish birds, sometimes you need a little more reach... The Sigma is great, really, but I am not friends with the autofocus yet, and it's very heavy. Not a walk around lens. I think the DFA 150-450mm is a little bit lighter?

I am a DOF-member too, and into bird/wildlife photography, but I prefer posting to flickr.

Yep!
And there's another one of us in Ĝlgod, he has also got a 150-450mm. We are rare, personally I've made sure that I know another Pentaxian by purchasing a K-S2 for my daughter
I have the 55-300mm PLM lens, but I had to have the DA*300 as well, I plan on investing in a TC once the minister of finance approves and she has forgotten my 'I have everything' (Doh)
Guess the 150-450mm must stay on my wishlist/in my dreams for now (sorry Shanti, and sorry for intruding your sales thread )

Hi Dick
the lens is sharp & great IQ/contrast--my problem has been AFC tracking for BIF & Pentax is still yrs behind Nikon.. after using D500 , I decided to keep Pentax K1 for landscape/slower wildlife(still have DA300) ..so don't use it at all ..therefore selling.

Cheers Shanti

Hi Shanti,
I'm with you about the ,not useble AFC, therefor I only use the AFS. So may be I have to invest in onother body as well (I have the DA300,The DA 60-250 and for both an 1,4 Pentax TC. I was hoping the 150-450 will do the job but I have to make up my mind. I thank you for you'r honest answer.

Cheers

Hi Dick
depends alot on your needs to.. I was hoping the K1 upgrade would address AF problems, but pixel shift & lower noise not my priorities & buffer of 12 shots(Raw) sucks for BIF
after I got the D500 , It was like coming from stone age to 2017..as far as keepers go with AFC
since your in Holland, I use my friends at Fotolooman for new gear..usually great prices & very friendly
