Item Description
Pentax DA 18-135 3.5-5.6 - Let me just say out the gate, this has been a really pleasant surprise to me. I am currently deployed to Cuba and not only has this lens been weather resistant, but it has produced some very solid quality images.

Condition: Excellent inside and out. The glass is clean. The blades stop down like they are supposed to. The body works well. The zoom portion isn't super smooth, but it wasn't that way when I received it either. These aren't DA* or limiteds, you know?

Focus - This is the area where it blew me out of the water. I had very accurate focus and fast focus all the time. No calibration on my K3.

Image quality - I'm not a zoom guy at all. I love Pentax primes. However, this lens exceeded my expectations for a zoom. When it was stopped down for landscape pictures it produced excellent results for a zoom. The 18-135 has a notorious "sweet range" where it is just better. That is true with this lens, but it performed very well at 18mm and in the 100-135 range also.

The only reason I am parting with it is because I purchased a DA Limited 15, 20-40, and SMC K 30 2.8. And well, I have primes that will cover those other ranges. I will regret parting with it, especially at this price.

It comes with front and rear caps. No hood (I've never shot it with a hood as it didn't come with one, and it still performed very well).

Reduced to $155 shipped in the US. I will take a few moments to clarify a few things:
It takes fantastic pictures for a 7x zoom. Much better than I was expecting (was expecting just a hint above 18-55 kit lens, blew that out of the water).
It is not a limited prime, nor does it perform as well as a limited prime (that is a fixed distance and costs more)
It does not come with a hood.
$155 is a great price.
