Pentax 6x7 Auto Bellows and Pentax 6x7 Slide Copier

This bellows unit is cosmetically in “Excellent” condition overall, and the pleated bellows itself, which is contained in a separate metal frame, is new, making the unit “almost like new”. All controls function smoothly. This bellows is a viable alternative for Pentax 645 photographers, using the Adapter 645 for 67 Lens, as the Pentax 645 Auto Bellows Unit is almost impossible to find used. Used with any K mount camera you gain more than twice the extension capability over using any of the Asahi Pentax Auto Bellows(35mm) (170mm v/s 352mm). You can use 6x7 or 67 lenses, which at present are extremely well priced used, or with the Pentax Reverse Adaptors 67mm or 49mm you can use 6x7, 67, 645 or even “35mm” lenses in reverse mode, which do not vignette, and with step down or step up adapter rings you can mount almost any lens in reverse.

The Pentax 6x7 Auto Bellows can be as old as forty years, or slightly less than 10 years old, as they were available over a very long period of time (1969 to 2009). The amazing thing is that you can still have a replacement bellows built by a company in the UK (approx. $150 US). Interestingly Custom Bellows Ltd., UK, designed and built the bellows for the Kodak Folding Brownie Camera in 1936, they have been in business for over 120 years!

The original boxes are supplied and are in decent condition. There are no hard copy manuals, but I am including full color digital manuals, suitable for printing. Included with the bellows is the Magnification/Extension Scale and the Pentax Double Cable Release. Also included, on a memory stick, are high-res full color PDF manuals for all the peripheral equipment that can be used with 6x7 Auto Bellows along with a copy of a PDF Bellows eBook (75mb of files).

The matched Pentax 6x7 Slide Copier with the Pentax 6x7 Auto Bellows is an excellent solution to converting existing medium format transparencies and negatives to digital files. While still using the auto bellows itself for high quality macro work. An alternative for medium format film duplicating is the Pentax Film Duplicator at around $1,475 new and $800 used.

You may wonder why I am selling this beautiful piece of equipment, but I have two of them and am keeping one that is “67” era and is indistinguishable from new. I will sell the bellows and slide copier units separately.

Pentax 6x7 Auto Bellows: $275.00 US
Pentax 6x7 Slide Copier: $125.00 US

More detailed images are available and I would be happy to email a copy of the manuals to a serious buyer. And please check out the reviews in the Pentax Forum Accessory Database:
